ART SONG
Art song is the kind of music that gives me the feeling of going active, which you'd stand up from your chair, run and jump around the room.
It's the kind of music which would make small comedy, or children plays interesting. It's like a bunch of sentence which you keep talking, turns into a song, and you wouldn't know what you're talking about.

Response # 7
Charice's song touches me in an emotional way. It takes about someone who you loved so much, left you, and then you meet again.
When you get into relationships, you'd never know how much you'd fall, and that how comfortable you feel around that person. Enjoying the love, it's like everything you ever had, and every other thing, other people around you are no longer important to you. That person you love so much was everything to you. And one day, he tells you that he wants to leave. In one moment. Your heart, and your body goes numb., and you don't know what else there is in the world for you to go on. You don't know what to do but feel the pain. Meeting the person again, that meant everything to you, all of as sudden, you realized that he's no longer important. It's a relief in your heart, in your life. Everything turns to nothing.

Critical Response # 6
Katy Perry's original song Part of Me was pop music. It doesn't really let people feel the meaning of the song even though we know how emotional it's suppose to be.
It's a pretty loud song that screams.
Jason Chen's cover of the song sounds like an acoustic version.
It sounded pretty emotional and I was able to feel his sadness in the song.

MIKA- HAPPY ENDING RESPONSE
This song has a smooth melody that touches my heart. It explains how a relationship you loved ended, and all of those times, you've wasted all your time on that relationship.
This song has instruments such as piano, and in the end of the song a violin was added.
The song is as if a group of people were singing in choir.

Response to Good Life by One Republic:
The song is about when you feel that you're life is almost messed up, oppourtunities missed, you feel like giving up.
But it's not the end of your life. You should always stand up for yourself and continue your life as it is.
Because whatever happens, it's not the end of your life

Ms. Huskins Somebody That I Used to Know
Lyrics:
Now and then I think of when we were together Like when you said you felt so happy you could die I told myself that you were right for me But felt so lonely in your company But that was love and it's an ache I still remember You can get addicted to a certain kinda sadness Like resignation to the end, always the end So when we found that we could not make sense Well you said that we would still be friends But I'll admit that I was glad it was over But you didn't have to cut me off Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing I don't even need your love, but you treat me like a stranger And that feels so rough No, you didn't have to stoop so low Have your friends collect your records And then change your number Guess that I don't need that though Now you're just somebody that I used to know Now you're just somebody that I used to know Now you're just somebody that I used to know Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over But had me believin it was always something that I'd done [ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/somebody-that-i-used-to-know-lyrics-gotye.html ] But I don't wanna live that way Reading into every word you say You said that you could let it go And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know-oh-oh But you didn't have cut me off Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing (oh) I don't even need your love, but you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough (oh) No, you didn't have to stoop so low Have your friends collect you records And then change your number (oh) Guess that I don't need that though Now you're just somebody that I used to know Somebody that I used to know Somebody (now your just somebody that I used to know) That I used to know Somebody that I used to know Somebody (somebody) tTat I used to know I used to know That I used to know I used to know Somebody
Response:
This song is indie pop and was originally written by Gotye. He wrote about an ended relationship which was so perfect like a fairy tale, and he was thinking back the happy memories.
He wrote on how he felt all the way through the relationship, even if his other half didn't love him.
He was bearing with his other half all the way through the relationship, still stayed with his other half, knowing that his other half doesn't love him.
His other half then changed into a whole different person, into someone who he no longer knows.
